Note and insight summaries

Quickly understand your note data (video, audio, documents, text) with magic summarize.

• Note summaries are automatically generated when importing video or audio files.

• To manually create a note summary, open the summary tab in the note sidebar and press Summarize.

• Note summaries can be regenerated by pressing Regenerate at the bottom of the summary.

• Note summaries will only generate a summary of the transcript if both a transcript and added text are present in the note.

Notes containing a transcript will display summaries in timestamped sections, which you can use to navigate quickly to key parts of your audio or video file.

Summarization runs in the background, so you can navigate away from the note or close the tab, and it will still be added once it has been generated.

Get straight to the point of your findings and long-form reports with automated insight summaries. Insight summaries pull in information from any content added to an insight, including reels, highlights, notes, text, and documents.

• To create an insight summary, open your insight (containing embedded data) and type / within the editor to see all available options.

• From there, select Summarize and a text summary card will be added at the top of your insight.

You can add additional context to a summary within notes or insights by editing its text content.

• To do this, you must have edit permissions to the original project, and the note or insight must be Editable.

• From there, click on the text within the summary card and type any changes you'd like to make in the display.
