When we talk about insights work, we’re often focused on activities: interviews, concept tests, reports. But shouldn’t we be spending a little more time talking about insights infrastructure? Qualitative research is a powerful tool for product teams of all types, but it does have one sizable drawback. It leaves you to infer causation and impact. However, if we were to combine our qualitative insights work with behavioral science methods, we can start to quantify the impact of those insights. Christelle covers exactly this in her talk on leveraging behavioral audits.
Christelle Ngnoumen, PhD

Claire Menke Priestley has been a senior leader on both sides of the aisle as Director of Product at Meta and previously a Director of Research.

This means everyone across the product org is going to need to get more comfortable talking to and learning from customers. To walk you through why that’s the case and how to adjust your career development accordingly, tune in to John’s talk.

In her talk, Claudia contrasts two stories that show how deeper customer understanding, and better design, lead to meaningfully different business outcomes.
