The Social Media Marketing Manager will play a critical role in how we engage our community and engage new B2B audiences with our brand and product story. Social media is one of our main amplification channels, and you’ll work closely with the broader marketing team including creative, content, community, demand generation, product marketing, the people team, and be an outstanding cross-functional collaborator. This role will sit on our brand marketing and content team.

You’ll be a true content creator, and will have great ideas for bringing our brand and product-centric content to life in engaging ways across our social channels. You’ll also have a passion for influencer marketing and a strong understanding of growth strategies, to help expand the reach of our channels with key audiences.

We have ambitious goals at Dovetail and are building a new category of software for product teams and beyond. As the only social media manager, you will help steward our public channels and be a key part of realizing our vision.

What you’ll do

  • Content creation & design. You’re an instinctive storyteller who loves to drive the end to end content process from concept to production, writing, editing and publishing. You get scrappy to design and create assets yourself, and will collaborate with our creative team to bring big ideas to life.

  • Partner cross-functionally. You’ll be a key member of the marketing team and will partner cross functionally to conceptualize, plan and execute content to promote our brand, product, company, community, partners, and more. You’ll work across teams to ensure our social media strategy is aligned with our narrative and business objectives.

  • Stay on the trends. You’ll ensure we stay relevant and bring an authentic, confident voice to the conversations happening across our space. You’ll partner with leading voices and brands to help build and maintain credibility and relevance with our target audiences.

  • Influencer marketing. You’ll also have the opportunity to build on the success we’ve had to date with influencers, evolve our influencer marketing strategy and manage influencers to continuously educate our audiences on the value of Dovetail.

  • Grow our channels. You’ll understand growth strategies and be continuously experimenting with new ideas to drive follower growth, reach and engagement with our key audiences.

  • Platform management. Oversee the day-to-day management of our organic B2B social channels, including Linkedin and Instagram, and be responsible for content scheduling, engagement, monitoring and reporting.

  • Monitoring and reporting. Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of social media efforts on brand awareness, audience growth, engagement, and lead generation.

Your background

  • Experienced in social media and communications. You’ll have previous experience working in a communications and social media role, with an understanding of how to grow a social media following, ideally for a B2B brand.

  • Talented content creator. You’ll love creating content and have fresh ideas for bringing our brand and product to life in new ways. You have experience creating visual assets, and the ability to collaborate with creative teams on projects.

  • Strong writer. You’ll be a strong written communicator, responsible for translating our story in visual and written formats. You can point to writing samples that show your grasp of brand tone of voice.

  • An eye for curation. Part of our brand comes out in other people’s stories we choose to lift up, and those we leave alone. You’ll have a knack for knowing who to engage with, which conversations to join, and which to leave.

  • A B2B software mindset. You ideally have experience or a keen interest in speaking to B2B audiences, and you ideally have experience working in the tech industry.

  • Comfortable on the tools. You know the ins and outs of key social platforms, have a strong knowledge of best practices and of leveraging the latest technology and tools to optimize the reach and quality of your work.
